Identification and Background Information

Identification: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 is the upgraded version of the previously released Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W5 camera. It has a 7.2 megapixel lens from the original 5.1 from the W5. The main identification is the name 'Cyber-shot' on the front of the camera located just below and to the left of the lens as you face the lens. This camera now comes in the colors of Caribbean blue, pale pink, elegant black and sleek silver.

Background: The W55 is the eigth in the W series of the Sony Cyber-shot line. The W55 was released into US stores in mid-February 2007, with a list price of $200. It is the upgraded version of the W5. The Cyber-shot line is known for their Carl Zeiss lenses and the InfoLithium batteries. The W series is unique in their wide angle lenses and special coating.

Supports Recovery of RAW, XAVC S, and Other Various Data Types for Professional Use

This software supports recovery of still pictures (such as JPEG and RAW) and 4K/HD movies (such as MOV, MP4, and XAVC) recorded by Digital cameras as much as possible. Sony's unique algorithm increases the chance of restoring files. For RAW images, it supports Sony, Nikon, and Canon RAW formats, including Canon CR3.

Supported file types for recovery

• * Game data, and content-protected music and movies are not supported
• * Supports recovery of files stored in Sony's memory media products
• * Recovered files will be stored in PC
• * Some recovered files may not be played back by cameras or other devices, depending on the recorded conditions.
